Ooooh! Bring out the trumpets! I have got a legit reason to praise myself. Bluefish tagged me as an awesome person ! To claim the award, I have to write down 7 reasons that make me awesome and then pass on the award to 7 other bloggers.
I am awesome because I AM awesome. I am awesome some more because -
- I am a self made person. I started my company when I was 22 with a second hand computer in dingy house shared with 3 others, in city where I knew no one and in a business that grows purely on networking. I did it without climbing the ladder on my back, without kissing ass or air kissing at socialite parties. I rock so much at what I do, most of my clients have been with me for more than 5 years.
- I am brave and strong. Bravery sometimes means carrying a 6 inch knife with me. This is after I was followed home by 2 goons one night. I get scared easily, but that has never stopped me from claiming the night or my life as my own and on my own terms. Strong means fooling people with my petite size. I have lifted and moved- 1 bed, 1 closet, 1 couch, 3 tables, 1 fridge, 1 dining table, 7 chairs and a one ton air conditioner all by myself, in 2 hours.
- I love excitement! If my life is not exciting, I choreograph it. Things were going great in Bombay, so I decided to move to Denmark. It will be so much fun! I can freeze to death and learn a language spoken by barely 5 million people. The suburb I live in has a larger population. If I think I may get bored, I do fashion parades for myself in front of the mirror.
- I value my friends and family. Work is NEVER an excuse not to have time for them. I work 18 hours a day and still have time for a long skype chat with the fiance or step out for drinks with friends. In fact some people think I never work because I always have time.
- I am a master of deception. I am a VERY shy person, but no one would ever know coz I am smooth like that.
- I am alive- I have lived a life so juicy that I dont regret my younger days. But when I think of the reckless things I have done, I am surprised that I am still alive.
- I am awesome by birth. I have made no efforts at this, but it is special to be a part of small indigenous tribal population and to have lived a dying form of true indigenous living. Thanks to that, I am equally comfortable doing my business in a ‘toilet’ which is a bamboo cage with a pig below to eat the poop, pulling leeches off my skin while looking for wild ferns to eat and eating escargot at the Ritz. I am in a sharing mood- if you go to a jungle, carry salt, sprinkle it on a leech stuck on you and it will fall off. Do not pull out a leech, it’s teeth may remain in your body and cause infection.
First, I tag my non blogging fiance to write down 7 reasons why I am awesome in my comments section. Since you are marrying me, I hope you have at least 7 reasons.

7 awesome things about you
Determination: Even before we started dating, I remember being very amazed by how much you had achieved so fast – while all of us were still students.
Helpfulness: People you really care about can always count on your help. I know you would pretty much die for your family, and I can’t wait to be part of it – but no dying, ok?
Humor: You are funny. Blogging is my favourite new aspect of you. I sometimes laugh out loud when I read your posts.
Intelligence: At times when we are in a group and you are discussing some topic with others, I feel very proud and lucky to have met an smart thinking person like you.
Brave: Maybe it’s your tribal background, sometimes it’s like you are not afraid of anything. You would go a beat someone up if they are being complete assholes. But the bravest thing is that you are going to move to Denmark. I will spend every single second I have with you making sure you never regret it.
Beauty: You don’t take the compliment well, maybe coz you have heard it many times. You are the most beautiful person I know.
Eat and drink: It’s awesome that you actually eat food and that you are able to drink some beer. Too many girls are way too weird about this. They will look at their salad and feel full. I don’t mean to say you eat like a grown man – Though you would like to think you do. And that leads me to the next awesomeness…
Exaggeration: You have an exaggerated imagination and absolute lack of sense of time and quantity. Like time and amount of food consumed. If something happened two days ago – it could easily become a week in your head. About the food you can read the above again:) – Its one of your quirks that is awesome. It’s your masala I think:)

Nyaah, If the fiance had a blog, he would never write on 7 reasons for his awesomeness, he would write about stuff like gadgets, world *yawn* affairs and stuff no one cares about. About the leeches- think of ALL that we could teach these city dwellers.
You know, I am now tempted to go into the jungle somewhere and get me some leeches. And track down my husband and demand 7 awesome things about myself in writing. Keep that handy, so the next time you argue about when something happened and you are proved wrong, you can point out that your temporal displacement is one of the things he loves about you. Automatic WIN!

You know how to strike a balance in life.
1-I know people say you are forthcoming and honest but not always.If situatation of emotional crisis then you just provide your silent(and at times not so silent ) support, that shows how sensitive you are.
2-You go out of your way to make people at feel at ease.
3-You forgive and forget and dont hold grudges.
4-I just love your attitude towards life….phew what a go getter..(Andy watch out, you are not gonna have it easy).
5-You know how to strike a balance in life with work,friends and family.
6-You value friends and stnad by them when they need you.
7-Last but not the least I dont even need to tell you and you know I am not alright(amazing antennas…must say that).
